Sorry, please can I have just a couple of minutes of total self indulgence before I leave you all in peace again?
Rode my baby pone for the first time since she was turned away for the Summer today
.
Bearing in mind that I'm no spring chicken and the last time I rode her a jet screamed over us and she reared and then proceeded to pogo whilst I desperately tried to shove my heart back down my throat LOL and we both the spent the next 20 minutes scanning the skies, as the Summer progressed I was less and less enthusiastic about getting on board a youngster (no matter how good normally) again.
She went back to skool (the yard) on Monday and my instructor has ridden her for the last three days and today <gulp> it was my turn.
Well, the girly was just lurvely
. Very growed up, would halt and stand happily without having an impatient strop, kept her head when the horse working around her left the arena, and she was very much more matured in her frame and her frame of mind
.
Today I was reminded what having horses was all about and I've not stopped grinning since. Yeay! (and to put icing on the cake, I've reached my goal weight for the week three days ahead of the weigh day
)
If you've managed to get this far without throwing up - pass us yer glass and I'll fill it up
