Well i will leave the poll running for a few days and then look into dates etc and let everyone know before booking just in case some people cant make it etc.

Does that sound ok??

I dont usually 'do' XC but i think my horse would love it and i haven't done it in years so it should be fun.

I'm a bit scared of steps though, might bottle it at them LOL

As for name badges, just look for the chestnut going like a bat out of hell in the distance with rider hanging on for dear life and that will be me ha ha

Sounds great.

***FMC Jumps up and down with excitment***

Of course I'll have to inform the Sheenster of this plan - but she is aware that her weekends are being filled by me in preparation for Milton Keynes 3DE

well to be honest everyone will know me and wills as we are somewhat vertically challenged at 13.1!

Steps are fun weeeee!!! but i only go up i get scared going down. kelly you should follow byrony haha she says we do a small jump so i tuck in behind next think i know we are up this over that weeeee round the corner and after i look back and think "did i really jump THAT?!"

i love XC i cant wait.

its the only thing me and wills can 'do' reasonably well if we have a good lead infront we are off!! i am working on her confidence alone too so hopefully this will be a good opportunity for that too

Senza has never been XC but i think i am gonna be more scared than her LOL.

Think she may do a 'Toby' too and rodeo me across the field so better wear my sticky bums ha ha

btw i spoke to Claire the other day and she said that if she is feeling fit enough she might come round SG with us

I was going to ask if I could come but they are all a bit too far for me. Have been to chilham for an event but it was a loooong way.

Have a great time everyone who goes xxx

Looks like there are a fair few people up for it then, great news!

Just to answer a few questions:

Lodge farm is the course at Matfield (just off the roundabout) and can only be hired Wed and Sat at £15 per horse. I know that a lot of riding clubs use it so it does get pretty busy BUT the ground is very good there.

Chilham is much bigger and because of the way it is set out you are less likely to meet others on the course or get held up in a que at 1 fence. Ground is also very good and there is probably more of a variety of smaller training fences.
Chilham is usually £18 per horse but they give discounts on groups of 4 or more.

I voted for any place at any time, there is BSJA at Cobham Manor on Sat 17th but not partucularly interested in that if it is going to be indoors (we are not very good in small indoor arenas)

I'll be pretty distunguishable, I'll be on the 16.1 bay mare who wont stand still and just wants to go go go no matter how big the jumps are, she wont let anyone in front of her either so could be interesting! She's a real jumping machine and absolutely loves it!

I don't have transport either so would need to hire, I spoke to a guy in Wilmington before with a huge lorry and the hire rate was something like £120 but divided between as many as he takes and I think the lorry takes 12. YO also runs a horse transport business and has 2 huge lorrys, if she comes as well could solve all our transport problems, I'll work on her over the weekend!

Once we have dates and numbers we can get something arranged, should definitely do a trip to both though.
