Has anyone done Search for a Star before? I’m wanting to do the WH class, just wondering what to expect, how things are run etc, any hints or tips muchly appreciated!!!

Haven’t done for years but have done the racehorse qualifiers run with them. Efficiently run will be on time. Cant help re the working hunter sections but if you look at smr photography you can see photos from previous years.

I am going to have a go at the Riding horse/hack class. I think the standard is very high though so I don't expect to get anywhere but just have fun. I am told the classes can be very big.

Classes can be big, they can take some time and are often split into 2 sections so you may well warm up and go in to be sent out to wait for an hour.
The judge rides so please make sure your horse is prepared for this. Those who have only done local showing are sometimes unprepared for this.
There are a number of turnout tips etc online from the various judges. The standard has gone up over the years, but the judges will still recognise a 'diamond in the rough'.

This year the classes don’t include working hunter though they do include working horse which has 2 fences.

Yes, that was the one I meant-sorry!!
Thanks for the advice, I’ll have a look at the photos & hopefully we’ll be going to the one at Bury Farm in April ??
