Search for old mare over...don't know how to feel...

I have been trying to trace the whereabouts of my old mare for a few years now, tried forums etc...in fact it was my first post on here....had an e-mail tonight, from Weatherbys, she died in 2008 :( They have offered to forward my letter to the last owners if I want. Don't knw what to do...I really don't know what I expected to find!! :( Pointless post really!!
 
Yeah, I just wanted to know how she was etc....I wasn't happy about selling her, but it was down to limited livery at the time (we were moving from Yorkshire to Essex and there was no livery spaces at the time)
She would have been 21. :(
 
Well at least you know a bit more of her history. It might be worthwhile getting in touch with her last owners, you may be able to get a bit more info about her past
 
So sorry. Well you do have a bit of closure now, at least. Your efforts to trace her show you must have had some great times with her?:)
 
If I'd been looking as long as you I'd probably get in touch too as I can't put things "to bed" as it were without following up all the way, but I would also be worried I would find something that might upset me.

You either risk finding out something you might not want to hear, or just as likely something that will put your mind at rest. Or I guess accept that she has gone to a better place and just remember her as she was when she was happy with you.

It's a difficult one.
