Does anyone’s dog suffer? Lily-Rose started with it this winter- it’s even patches on both sides of her - no itching or scaly skin but patches are pretty large and now starting to spread further up her body, so back to the vet this week.

Can we expect this every winter?

Id get the vet to test for Cushings. Bilateral alopecia is one of the symptoms, along with incensed appetite and thirst.

Thank you. No signs of increased appetite or thirst, but will ask the vet to run bloods just in case.
We thought it was a coat she was wearing at the start of winter (though she wore it last winter with no problems) so we stopped using coats but the patches got worse and spread and there is still no hair regrowth.
She’ll be 2 this year, so quite young still.
