As the question asks. How many of you use them and do they help you sit better. My Ideal Grandee saddle fits my mare well but I don't find it has the most comfy seat

I do use one, because I have various problems with my hips, pelvis and lower back and I find that it helps to soften any jarring through my back, although I don't like the extra distance it puts between me and the horse I don't really have an alternative until the day I can afford a saddle with Flair or similar

I have one and i dont feel that it interfers with my "feel" or contact with the saddle.
I only ever take it off for showing classes.
I dont use mine to help me sit better- just for comfort really.

I use one for hacking only - I have a Heather Moffatt original which is years old and is really comfortable. Also helps with stickability.

I used to use a Heather Moffett seatsaver because my old saddle was the most uncomfortable ever, it really helped, sold it on ebay when I bought a new saddle with a very comfy soft seat.

I have one I got from feedmark as my saddle is posibly the hardest surface in the world!!! I find it has helped my position as it lets me relax more.

I only use mine for long hacks, and on more than one ocassion, it has literally saved my ass!! Was on a 20 mile round hack and the people with me were offering a lot of money and a lot of mucking out to lend them my seat saver......!

Only got a relatively cheap one from the saddlery but it's worth it for long hacks.

On one of my saddles I always use a seat saver as it kills my seatbones. I love it. My other saddle is a Saddle Company one and that is so comfy I dont need it.

My mum has a sheepskin one that helped keep her legs warmer, and sit better, but now can't get her leg over the saddle without dragging off the cover, so no uses it.
I've schooled and hacked in it, and it's lovely for hacking, especially for longer rides. However I didn't like it for schooling - I wasn't able to sit as deeply and it did affect my feel.

I wouldn't consider riding without mine as I used to spend hours and hours in the saddle (I am not one for School work!)
Nowadays a hop from one horse to another to ride with my friends and my faithful 'furry friend' has to come with me, otherwise I get withdrawal systems and a sore b*m

No reason for them to move or slip, the one pictured above is fitted on with velcro, I stuck velcro patches to the underside of the sheepskin with carpet spray glue and did the same to the saddle, the seat saver can then be removed for washing, never slips, whole thing only cost me about £42.00, the sheepskin is a £30.00 rug from B&Q and the velcro and carpet glue was from there as well.
I will have to replace it soon as it has had an awful lot of use, see how it looks now !

yep use them on all my lot, even for competing, suffer with lower back problems from jarring, sheepskin does relieve this to some degree, also warmer in winter!!

I couldn't have ridden without my HM seat saver and used it for competitions and hacking. I'm an older rider and had problems with seat bone pain and stiffness, I did feel a bit perched when I first mounted but soon forgot about it once it warmed up. Only reason for not using it now is that I have a WOW saddle and it's built in.
