Seat savers

I've had issues in the past and tried a sheepskin seat saver, and Acavallo Gel-Out and a Heather Moffett one. I had a faux sheepskin one that I stitched a couple of layers of gamgee to, cycle shorts and padded knickers. Nothing worked. In the end I had to change saddles.

Thanks. I’ve ordered some cycling shorts/padded knickers.?these work.

i used a sheepskin seat saver which helped, but the shape of saddle was wrong for me, it was a jumping saddle with cut back head and i had been used to more dressagey type saddles. it was lent to me as my tack had been stolen:( and once i got my new saddle i continued to use the seat saver as it was so comfy

I know not everyone can stump up for a saddle that suits them better but it's a saddle issue, so do consider that going forwards, there are brands, and models, and fitting approaches, that are better geared for rider comfort. In the meantime, try some think foam or felt up under the skirts of the saddle and see if that helps, cut them to the curve of the seat seam at the top and push them right up, also ensure your saddle is in balance, a couple of mm up change can make a HUGE difference. Cheaper that a seat saver.
