Hi, My natives are on lo-cal at the moment for all their vits etc. someone mentioned to me that seaweed sup. does the job just as well and a lot cheaper. I've tried to find out online but can't find any info?! Does anyone here know?
Thanks

From what I heard its good for joint pain in horses.
I think its supposed to be an appetite suppressor in humans though so prehaps the theory transfers to horses too.

For my fatty he has a handfull of chop and a scoop of Benevit multi-vits to meet his needs, ive tried Low-Cal but I found the forementioned does the job just as well.

you should be able to get seaweed from your local feed merchants - usually sold in bags of 1 or 2 kg, looks like very dry tea leaves. Good for feet and gives nice shine to coat

My native pony is fed seaweed. From what I understand it is a rich source of minerals and vitamins but is high in iodine so you don't want to feed over recommended amounts (although not sure why anyone would do that? lol). Good for ponies on restricted grazing. Has helped my pony's coat shine even though he's a grey and increased mane & tail growth.
