I have a Sec A which has only got three weeks left to foal, she has got a 1/4 shetland in her. Im not quiet sure what to do weight wise with her, at the moment she is in a bare paddock at the moment, its got grass, but very short and not green. Shes having adlib hay throughout the day and stuff, is this right thing to do? Or should i let her go on a bit more grass, shes only had laminitis once before, and it was spotted straight away and wasnt a bad case at all, just a bit footsey! She was my first pony, and this is my first homebred baby, (got a yearling, but obv didnt get him till her was 6 months) Shes happy enough, shes not ribbey, and shes got a nice round bum, but seeing shes not got long to go, shes not massive, like other mares ive seen, (So am wondering small baby) but shes quiet low, i know weather she is getting loads or food or not, baby is going to be okay, but just want to know what would be best for her??
Sorry its so long!! Just a little bit of advise needed
