Anyone got any?
I'm considering clipping but we've got a real cold snap at the moment.
And Sunday we have a clinic at Somerford on the tech arena - I'm taking Bon and Charlie is coming with his owners daughter again ??

Freezing fog here today so my planned hack is scrapped - don't trust the drivers on a clear day.

Vet supposed to be coming to do teeth this afternoon but I've had a call to say they're running late so might find I've taken the day off for no other reason than getting cold

All my plans are scuppered with the weather, all the arenas are either frozen, off small ungritted lanes or fully booked and unfortunately our hacking is roadwork or frozen rutted mud.

Hope everyone else has more luck with getting out and about!!

Skiing tomorrow! So excited. And a long hack for Boggle tomorrow who was appalling yesterday, fired up for no reason out hacking (despite a very long, very up hill hack to this view). His hoof boot slipped and I had to get off and fix it. In the process of attempting to get back on he stamped on my foot and I’m currently contemplating whether it needs an X ray and whether I’ll even get it in a ski boot ?

When his halo slips, it really really slips.

No competing this weekend as negative temperatures are forecast and the venue is off narrow country lanes, not worth the risk. Normally attending my usual Friday evening and Saturday afternoon lessons. Hack on Sunday if I can fit it in the daylight hours. Otherwise I'm on the exciting business of making very large curtains for my bay window...

Had a lesson today, which with freezing temps, not having jumped for 2 weeks and the masses of people coming/going/slamming doors/moving things around just by the arena fence meant it was all a bit exciting. This instructor loves him but definitely saw his wild side today ?

All being well, we have BS at Port Royal on Sunday. But saying that, they’ve said they aren’t making a decision until 8am on the day as to whether they’re running or not due to temps. I’ve never been so no idea how likely it is arenas will be frozen or not… Sadly will be no footage as we are flying solo as per usual ?

Weather related for me too but no outing planned. Suspect roads may be too icy so I’ll see how the school is, it seems to fare pretty well in cold weather.

Little Shetland decided to colic yesterday morning/during the night. So from 6-8am yesterday was spent walking round in circles in a frozen field. The vet was very good and was with me within 20mins. Pony is doing well, we presume it was from lack of water due to the cold, so now I am on warm water top ups and sloppy mash every few hours (not sure what will happen when I go back to work on Monday)

Apparently the arena at the yard isn't thawing fully, so will either be a walk hack or in hand pole work for the two riddens today.

And then belle has a jump lesson tomorrow, in a nice indoor school so I'm presuming that will be able to go ahead. At least with the dry weather we had before the big freeze means the roads aren't icey, and the ground isn't rutted, so still able to potter about

Sending vibes for little Shetland mavandkaz

I shall be pottering about feeling sorry for myself because I am royally crocked and so won't be doing any riding at all until at least after Christmas.

On the plus side, hanging out with Arts is a mighty fine way to spend time, and look how pretty (pic from this morning):

I’ve got my friends’ horse again this weekend so it’s likely to be a weekend of hacking as I’d put money on the school being frozen.

I was also going to have a little 5 minute sit and walk on Nova to gauge how she is before letting her enjoy the rest of her winter break. I probably should lunge her beforehand but I don’t fancy her cutting shapes on the lunge. I think 5 mins walking in the frozen arena would be fine but I don’t fancy risking those legs if she has a mad one on the lunge for a 5 minute ride! So I’ll have to pray there’s a corner of the school that’s defrosted

Absolutely nothing unless you count "scrolling through DD so much that you're starting to memorise the ads" as a plan. Sad to see that a horse I used to know has now been passed onto a less than reputable dealer on there though.

@TheMule and I are sharing a lesson tomorrow - neither horse has jumped for a while ? ??‼️
Will you be recording it? I've been enjoying watching your other videos.

Got 2 stressage tests on Sunday. I haven't schooled for about a month, just been hacking for various reasons so not holding out much hope!!

Decided not to go today. Its foggy, freezing cold and outside going to be a dull day. We will miss out on any league points we may/Mayotte have got but I do it for fun. Today's weather is not fun!

I've had to give up with everything this weekend. Still minus 2 at 11am with freezing fog. Roads are lethal and I don't trust the drivers. Even my in hand area in one of the paddocks has got sketchy. Can't see the horses doing much this week

Taking silly young horse to his first pole clinic. Not a natural at poles, by any means. At home, he seems to think the point of the exercise is to tread on the poles, otherwise why would they be there? Silly horse.

Silly young horse took his first ridden "party" in his stride. A little bit excited at being with others. Fell in love with the other horses but tried hard with the somewhat advanced polework (10 m trot circles with poles!). Glad we got that in before the snow arrives today.

BS was cancelled, but managed to get a last minute entry to local SJ (indoor). Had an absolutely cracking round in the 90, except Pepsi decided to lock onto the wrong one of two directly adjacent fences so technical elimination. Frustrating, but what can you do but laugh?!

Also entered the chase me charlie for some fun and managed to come 3rd. Unfortunate pole really, but he got himself very excited once he understood the game and got a bit too underneath the fence and took the top pole off. Did it again as a tie break and he cleared it easily. It seems to look small in this photo (and we did one round bigger but no footage) but it looked massive coming to it!
