Wub, I love my pony.
After dressage last week, we had a great jumping session last night where he jumped 1.20 and tried so, so, hard.

I really appreciate how easy he is to take out by himself, in the dark and get home after 9pm- not a hint of drama from him which I sometimes take for granted.
I’ll rewind to end of Jan - vale view high profile sort of went to plan! Sat was a great day, nice clear round just shy of 66% in the psg so lots of regionals points. I made a pigs ear of the canter half pass which was totally my fault. Sunday he felt epic in the warm up but he ad libbed a fair amount of the psg in favour of his own moves for a not too disastrous 63.something%, annoyingly just shy of regionals points which we can do with our eyes shut. I was still really pleased with the tempo which is more consistent and the changes are so much straighter.
We squeezed in a lesson which was super useful, quite a few hacks. Hes feeling VERY fit
Went to Fieldhouse last Sunday - inter 1 music rode nicely just little bits I must tidy up for 70%+ and then a couple of fudged bits by me in the psg for 67%+ he was really well behaved, another af music sheet plus the rest of our summer regionals points

Fab picture and agree with you re appreciating a horse you can take out easily on your own.
Sometimes I think we (I!!) get wrapped up in what we want to improve and work on but actually I really just enjoyed spending the evening with him last night.
Pottering about in the lorry, chatting to him while we were watching others jump on their turn and having a cuddle when we finished- and he was searching for treats as knew he'd been good!
