Own up you over generous lot!!

Yet again I have been moved to tears by such a wonderful, totally unexpected LARGE parcel (two parcels actually). Within said parcels, were several lovely wrapped gifts. Hate to admit, but utter confused curiosity took hold and I've opened the lot.
I don't know who to thank personally, apart from Chan who sent a card, and a message 'from Sweden'....

So many many huge thanks for the wonderful Meg look-alike model, the painting of her on the wood (love it), the enormous amount of chocolate, the pretty sparklys, the dog toy and their treats... doubt they'd last long!!

WOW.

I am so glad they all arrived safe for you FM, as you know when you pm'd me explaining that you would not be taking part in HHO SS this year due to having a thoroughly rotten time, I really felt for you.

Well being bonkers and barking and liking to take on a bit of a task at christmas - I pm'd a couple of people to see if they wished to collaborate. Within a few days 'a couple' became more like 20+ people. So many people just wanting to reach out and show their support and friendship, knowing the difficulties and the pain you had been through this year, we all felt compelled to just do something special, to make things a little less painful for you.

I am certain that these users will be bobbing along soon to own up to their part in it.

Thank you and Merry Christmas, to Queenbee who made it all happen, and all the others who contributed. Of course it is fun to get nice things yourself, but trying to make someone else happy, is the best part of Christmas to me.

This has actually brought a tear to my eye. What an amazing and thoughtful kind act of pure love and generosity. It's posts and acts like this that make HHO the truly amazing forum it is!! Well done Queenbee and everyone else involved 😀 ❤ 🎄 xxx
 
What a lovely thing to do, and well done QB for organising it. I wish I had joined in with the SS now! I hadn't realized you did this sort of fantastic thing.
 
Every year within HHO SS, we do try and identify someone who has had a rotten year and they get matched up with our Special Secret Santa, who will remain unknown but who spoils the recipient. However, when I received a pm from FM to say she would not be participating... It was not possible to do the normal thing.

This is the first collaboration of its kind. Whilst I started the ball rolling, credit really must go to the generosity and creativity of many of our HHO forum members. I expected that maybe five or six people would want to participate, but we had over 20 people eager to pitch in and make someone elses christmas a little bit special, give without a thought of receiving. I am humbled to be part of such a wonderful forum and to know so many caring people. I was truly overwhelmed that so many people wanted to do this, if I was that overwhelmed, I can't imagine how FM must be feeling right now (other than a little bit tipsy and stuffed full of hamper goodies and chocolate :D

I always say that the best bit of christmas is HHO SS, but this really puts the star on the christmas tree :) xx

My poor OH, he was a bit dumbstruck - for slightly different reasons than I!! I kept asking him if he 'organised, ordered, or had anything' to do with the numerous MASSIVE parcels arriving in succession.... He kept denying all knowledge - and I nearly didn't believe him...
He kept mentioning HHO, but I kept dismissing it - I knew I was not in the SS this year, which got me worried in case I WAS in, and had 'forgot'!! Funny now!!

But, he has polished my desk and arranged the Meg like models in pride of place by my work area -so I've got them close and can look at them when I am here.

Little things mean lots, and as you know, todays surprise is far from little, so the meaning is sky high... I can't thank you all enough.. BestChristmasGift.Com
 
Now this is what xmas is all about!! FM I'm unaware of the terrible year you have had but I hope that from now things improve for you. You are obviously very well thought of to have so many people wanting to show their love for you. Enjoy and here's to a fabulous 2017 to you and your family xxx
