Secret to a shiney coat...

Agree Linseed - my lad is almost white and physio commented about a year ago his scurf was 'dry' and I had also thought his coat felt course!

So have been giving him a glug of linseed oil each feed and also Diamond Omega supplement - (micronised linseed)

I must say I have seen a huge difference - he does shine ! Even for his colour he shines and coat feels smother and silkier, scurf feels more normal.

Also try to give quick body brush after I ride to help move oils through coat and improve the circulation etc

Will continue with Linseed esp as large county show in few weeks!!!

Those who feed linseed...how much do you feed? We have 5 geegees, all are very different! The black one is unbelievably shiny all year round, the dark bay also has a lovely glossy coat, those two are on just grass.

The chestnut, grey and red bay are in a different field which is bare but the weather has turned bad so I'm trying to save the grass in their summer field until it's dried up a bit, they are on haylage and although they have good condition they don't gleam like they do on grass so I'm looking to give them a bit extra. :)
