Security Alarms

I need to get our alarm system (house, yard and tackroom) serviced, and thinking I should shop around as I don't know whether the company who fitted the alarm are actually good value for money.

Can anyone recommend a good alarm company (good service and good value).

Have a word with your local Crime Prevention Officer at the Police Station, they have no axe to grind, and will give you an unbiased opinion

I cant recommend as I work for an alarm company and thats not exactly unbiased!

I would say however that count up the 'make up' of you alarm so you have a list that reads something like:

1 x control panel
2 x PIR detectors
2 x Sounder sirens/bells
etc...

Then do a phone round, any good alarm company will be able to quote a visit based on that and when you speak wth them you should be able to tell if they will be any good by how knowledgeable they are, genuine people will always shine through too

Say you are a domestic customer (if you are that is) sometimes there will be a reduction for this

If you are under contract a call would be cheaper so be prepared to pay more for being 'non contract'

Once you have a shortlist; google them to see if anyone has commented on them
