Reolink will no doubt be recommended but I wanted to make you aware that the Vodafone Smart Sim (V-Sim) for these doesn't seem to be readily available any more. The existing sims seem to be working at the moment (£4 a month for unlimited data from the camera) but doesn't seem to be a way of ordering the cards any more and Vodafone are no help. So if you don't have access to WiFi out there, make sure you source a data sim card at a price you find acceptable before commiting to a 4G camera like Reolink.

If your WiFi reaches to the points where you want your cameras, Reolink also do WiFi cameras that don't need 4G.

The cameras have a rechargeable battery and you buy an optional solar charger that keeps the batteries topped up.

Have a look at the blink cameras I've been using them for a while
Worth noting the outdoors ones can be used inside but not vice versa.

Easy set up.
Easy app
Motion detection
Night vision
Lots of features. /settings
They run off batteries.

I have Reolink, on the rare occasion I've had issue with them not connecting, Reolink support have been very responsive and quickly solved the issue. I'd recommend them, and there is often special offers on their website. I run mine off solar panels.

Reolink run off solar panels. Regarding the vsim card don't bother getting it from Vodafone, they never dispatched mine and customer service was useless. I got mine from Amazon instead.

I use Reolink and the quality is fantastic. I actually have a Hikvision CCTV system for the house which was expensive and fully wired in, and I prefer the Reolink. I’ve got giffgaff pay as you go SIM cards in them, and they are running on the solar panels. I’ve only had problems with one in my large field, but it’s due to the position. It doesn’t get enough sunlight, so I’m going to move that one. Otherwise I’m really happy with them. Photos are taken of movement and I’m emailed these. I also get alerts on my phone pop up.

Sorry to revive a Zombie thread, but can anyone advise the best way to do GiffGaff for a Reolink Go? I'm about to add to my collection (!) but the V-sim is no longer available - If i get a GiffGaff SIM how do I know which goodybag I need? confused.com

I have a GiffGaff sim for my cameras and use very little data so I would say go for the cheapest available, you can easily change if you find you are using more data via their website. Unfortunately, Giffgaff don't do data only sims so in essence you are paying for calls and texts you won't use.
