How much is everyone paying now for this RVC net price is £37 so plus vat £44 on line its about £25, once the cost of prescription abd postage is added does it work out the same?

I've always just got it from my vet but not been with them long.

Probably I think prescription costs are £15 to £20 per vet practice.

Last time I costed it there was very little in getting a box of danilon with a prescription on line, versus straight from practice. I needed it posted either way.

Sadly I think vets have increased prescription charges. It is a saving with long term prescriptions but less with small amounts.

I did think it would be roughly the same everyone tells me the RVC are pretty good for prices.

Although Arabi's rubbed tail call out cost £244 I didn't expect that the steroid cream was over £40 and the tube is not big at all.

My experience of the RVC is their treatment/procedure prices are pretty good but they are very expensive for drugs and consumables. Anything more than a one off, prescription is cheaper.

The vet can give you a prescription for up to 6 months worth. Their prescription went up recently from £11.20 to I think £16.

So for Domosedan for clipping I can justify 3 tubes, 2 X clips plus a backup in case I don't finish in one go. I save at least £15 per tube and if I only clip once, it's there for next year

If Sedalin is something you need on a regular basis or ongoing for a few months, then talk to the vet about giving you a prescription for a few. Thing about how many you might use in 6 months. Petdrugsonlne have it for £20.99

And never ever let them use their own vet wrap or animalintex or similar unless you want a shock. They once sold me a teeny tiny baby pot of vaseline, that cost about 4x a full size.

I don't know about Sedalin but I tend to ask for a prescription - my vet charges £30 but that also gives me one repeat order. A box a bute from them is £180 and on-line is about £76 so it works out much cheaper to get a prescription. It is always worth checking out as many sites as you can as prices do vary - a quick look has Sedalin at anything from £20.99 to £25.99 per tube.

Mine cost £25 a tube late last year. Not sure if that was because i was buying them 4 or 5 at a time as Albert was having to be sedated slightly to walk in hand.

Thank you I only use sedalin for the dentist so I don't use it much at all, I might just suck it up as I need to go down there as they want copies of there passports so can collect it then.
