Suppose this should be in the vet section but more people looking at this one! So sorry!
Anyway my horse is on box rest, he is getting more agitated, we are on week 4. Friday night he managed to kick a big section out of the back of his stable wall, wood, and has been squeeling and rearing.
Vet has given me Sedalin gel, and he can have up to 2 x 3ml doses per day. Can I put it in his feeds? Only asking as he is OK to administer it with the syringe (at the moment) but I am not at the yard in the morning due to work, so thought if I could put a dose in his breakfast it should help to chill him out especially while all the other horses get put out, but as I would be doing his breakfast the night before, left outside his door for the morning, does the drugs effect diminish?
How long does it usually last for? Prob like asking how long is a piece of string, he is a 16.1 cob. Does a bigger dose last longer or does it just initially dope them more but wear off in the same amount of time.
Obviously being Sunday I can't contact my vet!! So any help most appreciated!!
Thanks!!!!!!
