Never sedated a horse for feet x-rays, they're usually brilliant.

Don't stress about sedation - it's some vet's preference depending on the horse and what shots they're going to do, especially if they are using plates rather than digital, as it can make it a bit more sure you get a perfect image and don't need to redo. I've seen probably a hundred horses x-rays, some sedated, some not. It doesn't mean anything. :)
 
On the financial side, sedated = easier to xray = less plates = less £.

Nothing more annoying than plates being blurred and the dreaded 'need more, coming back to you' phone call which = more £

yes it was plates... i get the results later today...
