hes having all 4 feet x-rayed, vet wants him sedated so hes very still has he has to be up on blocks.. and apparently they dont like there back legs up on them...so just safer, even though hes the most laid back pony ever...

Never sedated a horse for feet x-rays, they're usually brilliant.

i've never had to x-ray feet before . so not a clue. just going along with the vet....

Don't stress about sedation - it's some vet's preference depending on the horse and what shots they're going to do, especially if they are using plates rather than digital, as it can make it a bit more sure you get a perfect image and don't need to redo. I've seen probably a hundred horses x-rays, some sedated, some not. It doesn't mean anything.

On the financial side, sedated = easier to xray = less plates = less £.
Nothing more annoying than plates being blurred and the dreaded 'need more, coming back to you' phone call which = more £
