Hi Guys,
I'm clipping my horse this weekend and she will definitely need sedation for it or there is no way we'll get near her. I was wondering whether I should get some from the vet or whether I could get something else. I didn't know whether prokalm is strong enough or whether I'd need a different thing. I really have a clue because I've never needed to have a horse clipped before so any and all advice is appreciated :)

My instructor clips and her pet hate is shop brought "sedation" and Sedaline. She's says the blue gel that goes under the tongue is the only stuff that really does the job. I can't remember what it's called but it comes from the vet and begins with a D?

Def. Dormosedan gel. Its great and sends them to sleep for a good couple of hours.

It can make them sweat up though so best to do bits that will get sweaty first.
