sedation?

Hi, I took my horse down to the vets today to have his teeth done
and as he'd never had them done before the vet sedated him
being the first horse ive owned rather than loaned please could someone give me a rough idea of how big a hole it is going to put in my pocket, receptionist quoted £20 for teeth rasped but how much extra will sedation be?

as i forgot to ask vet at the time

Did the vet try and do it without sedation first?

Did your horse need sedating? I'd ring the vet and ask for clarification as it may affect your bill.

The sedation drug is next to nothing, only a few pounds extra!

They may charge you extra for the "vets time" whilst it was getting into the system though, depends on the vet!

Ellie was sedated yesterday for her abscess and it cost £7 something for sedation and £12 something for the two drugs used in the sedation so a total of £20 - £21
