Seedy toe nightmare :(

Michen, did your fellow have shoes on when you bought him? This horse had a persistent toe abscess for two whole years until I took his shoes off, when it healed. If yours was caused by the shoes in the first place, then putting shoes back on might have been the problem?

No he didn't, he came with functioning barefoot feet. We only put shoes on post resection as it was half way up the hoof wall so farrier and vet felt it needed some support.

Maybe I could lend you a Frank hoof? He's lame on two legs so what's a third between friends, then once he has sorted it out you can have it back again?
