this bit is being discontinued, and i can't find one anywhere, so if someone happens to have one they don't use, or sees one in a tackshop somewhere, please can they let me know!
5 1/2 inch comfort snaffle wide barrel (= what they call 02 mouthpiece) with full cheeks (no hooks.) (= what they call 23 cheeks)

otherwise i might have to see how much it is to get them to custom-make one, which will no doubt cost $$$s.

thankyou.

no, it isn't nasty at all, and it's a dressage legal mouthpiece with dressage legal cheeks! it should be very mild and consistent.
no idea why it's being discontinued, except that maybe the version with hooks is more popular... even though that isn't dressage legal.
i've been waiting for about 3 wks for the one i found and ordered on Derby House website, and they just sent me a letter saying they haven't got it. GGGGRRRRRRR. livid.

Have you tried Bit World? They have a decent stock of Mylers. Derby house are generally a pile of p** for having things in stock anyway I have found recently!!

Phone Norris's of Beaulieu, 01590 612215. I have the exact same bit, only in a 5 inch, which I bought earlier this summer. My one's got what I'd call fulmer cheeks with no hooks, is that the one you mean. They had a few, maybe will have the bigger one for you.

I have that exact bit but I'm afraid I use it for dressage so its not up for grabs. I got mine from Gills Bit Bank - but I think they might of closed down. Sorry probably not much help.

It is a great bit. I also have a myler low ported kimberwick in a 5 1/2 for jumping but I had to search high and low for it because most stockists only stock them in a 5 inch (apparently only children want to use a kimberwick

) I did eventually get hold of one but it had to be shipped over from America so it did cost the earth (I can't remember exactly but >£100

). Apparently you can pick them up for peanuts over in the States so if you know anyone that travels over there it might be worth asking them to get you one while they are there.
