Does anyone know anything about this mare? She is believed to be 15yrs old, and has allegedly evented in her younger years. She is believed to be ID x TB.

Freezemark is on her near shoulder, but trying to trace previous owners through Farmkey has drawn a blank, although I did find out through them that she was probably in the Kent area during the 1990s.

Many thanks.

I take it you dont know any of her breeding!?
Just wondering as my ID x TB came from Kent and I know the breeder down there brreds a lot of ID x TBs- they have the Lennox prefix. May be worth phoning IDHS and seeing if they have any details (or look on web site) of the people that breed the Lennox horses.

Good starting point maybe as they have a lot of offspring for sale in Kent. Good luck

Have you got any pics??

My friend used to own a big ID x TB mare with a freeze mark on her shoudler and she was stabled in the Kent area in the 1990's.

She had an amazing jump on her but my friend was more interested in dressage so think she sold her although i dont know under what circumstances as we lost touch.

No, I know nothing at all. The passport for her was issued a few years ago, at which point she was renamed. I've just phoned Farmkey again and the only other bit of info that they could give me was that she was originally freezemarked in 1993, and it was redone in 1997 as she turned lighter.

I will follow your lead now with IDHS and Lennox, thank you very much

I've got two poor quality pics here, first in 2005 4 days after foaling, second is very recent.

She looks to have no white markings on feet or nose, but I don't know if she might have a star or something on her forehead, haven't looked closely enough.

I dont think it is her sorry, Annie (the horse i knew) had a bigger head and seemed to have a rounded forehead rather than a flat one (if that makes sense).

you can pay farmkey to send a letter to the address that she was first registered. I paid around £15.00. I never heard back from the people, they might of moved, or didnt want anything to do with him now, worth a try, i was able to find out he atleast came from cheshire and then got in cntact with a TB pony stud up there

Yup, I've done that (and it was £15) and not heard anything back

All they were able to tell me was that she was registered in Kent. Flipping Data Protection Act - if they were able to give me the names of the previous owners I might be able to track them down.

I've looked on the IDHS and there is only one stud listed in Kent, so I will give them a call but it is a very long shot, and even if she was born there I doubt she would be remembered.

I've left a message on the IDHS message board asking for info too.

Someone must know her!!

Thanks for all the helpful replies posted so far

BTW, the reason I'm asking about her is that I've put a small deposit on her but wanted to check there was no hidden nasties before paying the rest!!
