Hi all,

I moved my horse a few months ago to a new livery yard which was recommended here and was very happy but due to a change of circumstances i need to move my horse again (but that should be it then) and hoped someone would be able to help.

I am looking for a yard somewhere between Godalming and Haslemere (possibly down to Liphook) on either side of the A3 so Hindhead/Thursley/Elstead or Chiddingfold/Witley considered.

We would like all year turn out in a group, good hacking (if possible no roadwork), all weather school and a nice and friendly atmosphere.

It would be nice if dogs and children were welcome too.

I have had a look at previous posts on the same subject and have already contacted a couple of yards but would appreciate anymore input.

Thank you very much in advance.

My OH may have a vacancy in the new year as a much loved client who has been with us for 6 years has moved house and her two horses are moving to join her. We're in Hascombe - Upper House Farm Stables. Give Andy a call on 01483 208 126 or see our FB page for more information.

Thanks Paddy, you were on my list of people to call :-) Good to hear that there may be a vacancy. I am looking for something late january / february so that could work well. I will give Andy a call and see when i could pop in. Thanks again.

Chichi is a lovely livery and we will be sad to see them go! Have you tried little burgate? I have friends there who are very happy!

Second recommendations for both yards already mentioned, I haven't liveried on either yard, but have visited both and have friends who livery there and both seem very well run with happy horses and liveries. Good luck finding somewhere :)

I am at Little Burgate...happy to give you any info, also Facebook link here: https://www.facebook.com/LittleBurgateFarm?fref=ts A happy, friendly yard, with happy friendly owners and horses, no mud, gallops, jump field (summer) full set of jumps, floodlit sand school, larger unlit sandschool, acres of turnout, well managed (nothing too much trouble) and the MOST amazing hacking...no road riding required at all.....straight onto bridle paths and off up Hydons Ball. We range from younstock, elderly retired(and much loved) horses, to happy hackers, to affiliated dressage, Show jumping and eventing and driving. Regular training. YO makes own hay and haylage on site and is a super rider should you ever need a hand with exercising (I have no qualms asking her to ride mine when I am away) If you ask for something to be done it will be. Each horse treated like her own. No rules about which farrier, dentist, vet you use. Owner lives on site, as does another livery with her horses, so safe and secure. Dogs and children very welcome :)

Sarah - how are the schools in the rain - do they flood? Are they still useable?

(Sorry for the hijack OP)
