SELECT HORSEBOXES

Has anyone bought a horsebox from Select Horseboxes in Nottinghamshire (www.horseboxes.com)?

I have seen the perfect 3.5T box on their site and called to get more details from them. It sounds ideal but as I'm in the North of Scotland it's not easy for me to just pop down and see it in person. They tell me they'll deliver it to me if I give them a deposit with cash on delivery.

Am I mad even to consider buy it unseen?

ive seen a few lorries of theirs always nice enough.
i know a couple of people that have had problems though - they did get sorted though.

not much help really.

Hello never bought from there but up untill recently i had jumping lessons with Andrew and found him to be a nice honest chap.
That said i would be wary of spending that amount of money on an unseen box, having driven a few different lorries ( and a couple of different 3.5 ton ones) there are some i would happily have and others i didnt find comfortable to drive and therefore wouldnt buy.
Could you not get them to send loads of pics so you are sure it is worth it then drive down with the cash if you like it drive it back yourself??

You could get an independent inspection done though?

My lorry came from Andrew and I have not had any problems with it. Not sure I would buy any lorry without actually seeing it first though.
