that are on ebay -has anyone ever used them.Do they actually work?
Very cynical as only £149.Not thinking of buying one just wondered as keep coming across them.

I'm sorry but I woudln't touch them with a bargepole. Anything that cheap is suspectly made for a start, and the trees do collapse on the horse, not heard anything good about them.

as they are so cheap wouldn't touch one. Not too mention I can't see how a saddle can be self adjusting, it just doesn't work that way

Better off getting a 2nd hand thorrowgood or wintec

for a adult theyre ridiculous and dangerous in my opinion.

My friend has one for her 6 year old and it ok, its hard to find 15" pony saddles as well, and its not like its got a lot of weight or use. BUT it did only last 3 months and she sent it back for a replacement as it started to come away!!

Not a fan really! If its for adults, i wouldnt touch it with a barge pole.

Totally agree. Even some saddles which proudly proclaim they are made in England are part assembled in China! Looking at this on ebay:

The tree angle hinges half way up the "arms" - almost any horse will end up with a massive pressure point at that point - it will mirror the shape of a horse with muscle loss - and guess what, your horse will likely end up the same shape. It also means the bars do not change at all - bars must also be close to the shape of a horse's back or they will dig in and cause pressure points and instability. At least changing a gullet on the other synthetics moves the bars a fraction.

Thanks for all replies. Just wondered if I was too stuck in my 'if its cheap theres something wrong or its rubbish' head.
Nah got saddler coming next week will stick to that at moment

I don't know anything about these but I have a leather Equestrian Ergonomics self adjusting saddle bought from ebay six years ago ( a company in west wales) and it is a great saddle for medium to very wide equines, the points flex with the horses width - the stirrup bars are quite set back so do not affect the fit and its fairly straight with some knee rolls - been used for wh, sj, xc, dressage, hacking, long distance. Cleans up beautifully and was a bargain at I think around £350. Now on 3rd or 4th equine - not really any good for narrow creatures tho!
Not sure where it was made but good quality all round, fairly flat seat. Would love to pay £1500 for a saddle but would then have to kill anyone that got mud on it, dropped it etc......:)

I know someone that has one of these!! She calls it 'my treeless gel saddle that fits anything'! I rode her TB in it (for a whole 5 minutes lol) and it was horrible - Made you tip forwards and rocked about quite a bit (left/right & forwards/backwards)!! Wouldn't touch with a bargepole...
