May not seem much to most but I am over the moon. tonight, my sister got on my 3 year old for the first time.

She is helping me because she is somewhat lighter and more agile than me. I'm not sure Adina would appreciate me clambering all over her!

I lunged her for 20 mins in walk and trot and then I got my sister to do a lot of leaning etc. Then she leant over a few times and we walked off on a circle and then, she put her leg over, walked around then sat up right.

We left it there as it could not have gone better. Adina was moe worried about licking my leg than anything else and my sister did brilliantly. SHe was a little worried as the last horse she helped me break in was Viento who is 15hh. Adina is 16.1hh maybe a little bigger!!!!

But she reported that she didn't feel that big once on her!

Going to give her a couple of days off and then do some more on wenesday.

Well done both of you, you must have done a good job of handling her to date for her to trust you both and accept what you are doing, I hope it continues as it has started. It is a lovely feeling when you do it all yourself.

Thanks. I have done a lot with her, and all very slowly as I just wanted to get it right. Im sure it wont be plain sailing from here on in but at least we have made a positive start.

Congrats - it is a special feeling.

It is a 'point of arrival' after all the trust-building work put in to date; and a point of departure as a base for all that will come.

Thanks! What a good way of putting it.
