Pointless self-indulgent post alert!!!

I had my first lesson for 5 weeks yesterday (due to snow/holidays/saddle issues) and both my girls were fantastic!

I usually ride one after the other, but because my mum is on her school half-term she had a lesson on her horse. It was her first lesson since the summer, and she usually struggles to make Chloe trot, nevermind work, and by the end of the lesson she had Chloe going in an outline and doing quite a nice working trot. Both me and the RI were really proud of Chloe as we've worked hard with her over the last year, and it shows that it's really starting to pay off now

My mare has had some problems with her saddle and withers, and I had yet another saddle to try, and after some initial napping I think we've found one that isn't pinching. We did trotting pole work, galloped round the school and she really tried to stretch forward into the bridle and did some decent 20m circles. She was drenched in sweat by the end of half hour so we left it there as she's a bit out of condition.

I can't wait for the summer now and hopefully taking them out to some unaff dressage comps.

Thanks for reading

It's the time when we start getting back into our lessons etc, and such an optimistic point in the year
