So pleased with my boy tonight

Decided it was time to try hacking alone again

not done it for a while because last time I tried we ended up at the end of the road with D threatening to rear, buck and spin

and then he piaffed all the way home

He was an absolute star

We went across the heathland and back round in a loop. He did'nt hesitate at all and was quite spritely all the way round

So pleased, sorry

Glad you had a good ride.
It can be so off putting when things go wrong but stick at it and things can get better alot easier and quicker than you first thought!

t's always nice to be able to hack out alone. as well as being bloomin' useful to be able to do so, so well done on your success there! Sounds like you had a lovely ride, so hopefully he will be well motivated to want to do it again now!
