Wnet to watch Oasby today, and came back feeling inspired, and decided because most of our SJ probs are down to me thinking too much for him, and overriding, we would do some jumping this afto. So put up a XC and a little upright (about 85cm) witha barrel as a filler for scariness, and poppped over both, concentrating on riding it no differently to another stride, and he was fab, jumped it really nicely, whereas sometimes I think I override and end up to quick and too deep, and can cause him to stop, or back off. Anyway, decided whilst I was in "inspired" and "concentrating" mode would see how he would cope with a bigger upright from the same stride, so wacked it upto 1.00 and he popped no probbs, same rhythm etc etc. Sooo thought would go for a bit bigger, as thats when I can fall to pices, and put it up, and WOW! Just seriously pinged it, took off exactly right, felt his shoulders come up, and just WOW. Got off to see was 1.10m, biggest he has ever jumped, and I know in the grand scale not huge, but just soooooo chuffed because of the feeling he gave, havent stopped smiling!!

Well done hun!!! Its so rewarding when things fall into place all of a sudden with just a small (but significant) adjustment! So when's your first event? Roll on BYEH - he should fly it!
 
Fantastic Kat - it takes guts to learn to be brave and let the fence come to you, but it isn't half worth it! All that work you have put in is paying dividends now

is black im afraid as everything else is, is just plain competition one, with flash, they were so helpful on the phone, really impressed with the service, just hope it fits, although she said i can send back any bit of it that doesnt and she will swap it for me

Kat thats brilliant. I do find after spending a day watching SJing it inspires me to go home and have a go.
I remember spending an afternoon watching Advanced SJing i went home and it really made me sit quiet and wait for the fence to come to me. Its so difficult to SIT STILL lol

Lol!! Thanks BB's. Yes well i tend to over think and have the "oh but he's a baby he may do this/that"etc etc, but today made me realise ill be out doing that before the end of the mnth, and so no more excuses!! Just let him sort himself out, and realise he is growing up...

Snoop is fine. Had a good wash and scrub up today, although totally wasted as he will get plastered in mud tomorrow lol
He has no idea about tomorrow, i think tbh he thinks hes going sjing again lol he did canter poles today on the lunge and was a dude, then added a raised pole at the end and OMG you would have thought i had asked him to jump a bus. It cantered around snorting and tail up - honestly!

Hes covered (same as winston) in lumps
