why o why do sellers NOT update their ads to "sold"? surely it would save them having to answer a load of wasted phone calls & it would save me getting SO excited about a possible horse, then having my hopes dashed when told "sorry, already sold!!!!! & another thing, if I do manage to get to see a horse & don't buy it because it's a head case! why is it readvertised because of a time waster!! (me) when blatantly it's the sellers fault for wrongly describing it....ggrrrrrrr

sorry everyone...just had to write it all down & get that off my chest

pimms anyone??

Know what you mean: got very annoyed ringing for an amazing horse only to be told she just sold it. Even more annoyed to be told I was first to view only to turn up to see someone else riding it and to be told she's having it-grrrr! Had just travelled an hour and the guy had my number!

Ha ha. I went to try a horse the other day. It had poor conformation but I let the owner chat on for a couple of minutes out of politeness. She asked if I wanted to see it ridden and I said "no, just trot it up". Anyway, it moved like it looked like it would move :( , so I said "thanks, not what I'm looking for", and we went home. We were there about 10 minutes.

Went on the internet and NO TIMEWASTERS had appeared on the advert! :D

How naughty of you all for being ''time wasters'' haha!

When I was buying it was the sellers wasting my time - horse loosing shoe and not replacing it for over a week then getting other people ahead of me in que!, leading me on then saying that I couldn't do a full vetting, not allowed to ride in a school or canter horse etc..the list is endless!

Noticed quite a few of the horses' on my yards adverts - bit worried as they don't tell the whole truth - i.e. 'horse is impeccably (sp) behaved' when it actually rears and bolts etc.

Also re-read the advert that I based seeing my boy on! So funny - it's all exaggerated - he's lucky I love him!
Examples - 'comes to call' - yeh right! , 'well behaved whether first or last in hack' - found out after that owner never rode him! , 'will stand all day to be groomed and turns head round for a kiss' - lol he's too nosy for his own good and rarely stands still but is affectionate!
