Sellers protection/ selling overseas.

I am hoping that someone can point me in the direction of information regarding overseas sales.

I very stupidly let one of my horses go overseas without payment. I sold him under contract and that contract has been broken by the seller. I am not in a position to take him back, I just want paid what I am legally owed.

Do you mean he was on sales livery and the agent sent him?

No I let him go to someone who I considered a friend with a contract stating that he could be paid in part payments and to date not a penny has been received.

Nope, I am. Buyer is in Europe.

Did you sell him to someone in Europe or did you sell him to a friend who sold him on?

Try phoning them anyway - they may steer you to someone who could help.

Thank you I will give them a call tomorrow. I have already been emailed a lot of information from other sources on my right as a seller and on the buyer. Hopefully I can get this one put to bed soon. I has been on-going for a year now and its getting beyond tiring!
