Pretty markings :)

Can i ask what is probably a really dmb question, but what breed is he? Do you recognise him as gypsy vanner like they do in america? Just wondered if there is a name and if who, what are the historical influences. :)

Ah, he's a nice looking horse, lovely markings.

If you got a good price then you might as well take it if it is a good home, and then not have to pay for hay and feed etc for the rest of the winter!

You will have to change your user name,

Traditional Gypsy cob an his sire was Natwest Tom Prices stallion, Mare of no importance just nice markins an proven broodmare :)

He is lovely. Glad he has a good home but its a bit disappointing for you and the plans you had for him.

Hm maybe this guy he is goin to has better facilites, his son wants somethin to hunt on Riley would be good at that :)

Im thinkin of getting something along the line of a trotter anyway

all these cobby pic's from everyone......... gona be converted from my tb's soon!

hes such a gorgeous horse! hope the new owner enjoys him!

Could you tell him cobs can't jump please? ;) I had that confirmed by a very 'experienced' horse person the other day, but apparently word hasn't spread.

Me and Mav jump a drain everyday to get on stubble field :) seen some crackin cobs jump Riley beein one of them

He's stunning, really hope he gets on well in his new home, he looks like he'll be cracking out hunting! :)

I used to be a massive cob snob until I started my job and now totally converted. One of the best jumpers on the yard is a just turned 5yo heavy cob who is competing at 1m which is a pretty decent height for any 5yo!

Have you sold him then?

your village will love you and a trotter, least you got york raceway up near you or plenty of roads but no racing ;)

I no Lee that snobby livery will love it ;) gna start looking after I start Phoenix :) she should be easy.

Haha ! Yeh when we were younger we had a cob like that you had to boot it over stuff and it kind of fell over but it still jumped .. Kinda ;)

He's gorgeous, cobs are the best jumpers, used to ride a 14.1 cob stallion that would jump anything, the bigger the better, just point and go :D such fun. Can't wait to get mine jumping properly

Lee

Do you mean Green Hammerton Raceway near York - I used to go racing there years ago when I was kid.

I didn't even think it was still going, the cafe there used to do the best chip butties......ever.

It's brought back a lot of memories - had a lot of fun there.

York Harness Raceway isn't only still going, it's constantly being improved! The owner has relocated from London to the track and is currently building a purpose-built sale barn. The track itself is in great condition, my favourite hardtrack on the mainland :) I do think the bar should be done up a bit, it looks like a little old pub and the lady who manages it is waaaaaay too glam to be in there! They should change it into a swanky bar to suit her!
