I have a very classy (in hand county winning) little welsh A who though my dtr rides on lead rein is a bit too perky for her off it. She now wants to progress off lead and as she isn't that confident think we need to find something with barely a pulse!
I really think it would be better all round if we sold pony somewhere he could do a job and have a bit more fun than he does with us. He would probabaly be best suited to doing a bit more than lead rein. He was prof broken and schooled but not done much with us since then other than a bit of pottering around so really needs to go on and have more of a life!
In order to sell him wondering whether just to send him back for more schooling which will obviously cost me quite a bit, or sell him that bit cheaper. Slight concern is if we can't sell him straight away after the schooling livery we end up payng for more schooling and / or the work gradually comes undone as we can't maintain it when he returns.
Money is not the main priortiy - I want him placed in a suitable home where he can have fun. That makes me think I may have to send him away to give him the best chance of a decent home. I don't know of anyone locally small enough to put the work in to him. The person i had used previously moved away.
Any suggestions please - try and sell as is?? or send away for schooling??
Thanks everyone and apologies for the ramble!!
