Anyone done this before?
Got a nice 14.2 jumping pony for sale that I just cant sell. It's getting ridiculous now. She's cheap to reflect a couple of small hang-ups, which I'm being totally honest with people about.
Her owner is paying me salse livery and tbh, she's going to end up paying more than she'll get back!

So we've been thinking about sales- what sort of prices do decent ponies make?

Depends if you go for a local sale or somewhere like Malvern. We just sold an 11.2 coloured !st pony in our local sale for £700. As you can't really prove how good the pony is at a local sale, they tend to go for stamp, colour, age etc.

Where as when we sold the horses at the performance sales they were entered into a sj style and performance type class first............. so at least yoy got to win some prize money before giving the horse away in the ring.

Luckily she's dun and she's very connemara in appearances so she's fairly saleable in my book.

Stick a reserve on her maybe and that way if it all goes wrong you have a fall back option. Is there no way you could get someone to take it to PC? Its such a good shop window.

Malvern is a good option as there are jumps to showcase her on.

Don't take her anywhere until I get back to you

Leominster is a good sale for ponioes, especially if you can ride them and jump them there and people can see they're ok. A good pony can often go for £2k+.

Fab, think we'll head up there then unless I have any luck in next couple of days

Wasn't someone on here looking for a 14.2 jumping pony for her daughter? Just recently - there were a couple of threads about ponies her daughter went to try, one fairly disastrously, if I remember... Can't remember the poster's name, though, sorry!

This is driving me mad! I've been asked to find a pony for a friend's daughter and your's sounds like it might just be the ticket BUT I can't for the life of me find it on the PC website!

Can you put a link up or PM me the details and a piccy? Thanks
