Hi guys, looking for some realistic (honest!!) advice for selling a saddle. As my christmas present i'm getting a made to measure GP for my boy, but i've got to fund part of it myself so i'm selling my beloved jumping saddle to help. The saddle has "Henri Brunelle" stamped on it, but it looks almost identical to the Henri de Rivel one pictured below! It's 100% sturdy and has two blemishes on it, some scrapes along the cantle and some discolouration at the front of the saddle where the light tan has been rubbed away to a darker tan. Taking into consideration the marks and the current economic climate, how much realistically should I be looking to sell this for? I'm hoping to hit the £300 mark as these saddles without marks are fetching £600 - £700 ... so it's almost half price for a few scrapes ....... what do you guys honestly think? I don't want to put it on eBay at too high of a price and end up not selling it ...... Any feedback welcomed!!! xxx

P.S - it's the most comfortable saddle in the world! like a memory foam mattress for your bum cheeks!

It would be worth your while looking for any saddlers local to you and giving them a call, our saddler is very goof to us and always buys any saddles we need to get rid of for reasonable prices, you don't have to go through the hassle of listing them and p&p, he just comes and picks them up ;)

I'd say around 300 is realistic. I sold a HDR Rivella for 350 (plus matching bridle & breastplate, saddle pad, and girth) on ebay. Shipping ended up at a hair under 20 using parcel force. You could send pics of your saddle to www.saddlesdirect.co.uk and they will tell you the value for trade in & private sale.

Thanks guys, i'm a little confused as to whether or not it is a HDR, as the stamp says Henri Brunelle yet the saddle is identical to 95% of the close contact jumping style saddles on the HDR website .......... hmmmm!!!! x
