Selling a saddle

I have decided that I must sell one of my saddles, is ebay the best place

not always as i brought a new saddle and sold mine on ebay but only got £150 for it so not always its best to go to an exchange place

Depends on the make of saddle and condition I suppose. I sold my WOW saddle on e-bay and was very pleased with what I got for it

Don't forget you don't have to sell it if it doesn't reach a price you are happy with.

but u have to make sure u put that u have a reserve that has to be met otherwise it will go to any price.. or start the bidding at an higher amount

I wouldn't recommend ebay.

I sold some to saddles direct who gave me a very fair price.

I have four saddles for sale all wide fitting and was going to put them on ebay.
As a newbe to ebay do I add in the cost of postage in the price?

postage is in a separate section - so you put the price of the saddle (or a lower price if you're using the auction) and then put how much the postage will be separately. If you login and click on sell there's a long form that guides you through it

If they are well known brand and a desirable size they will sell well. However, you will never got back even most of what you paid for it new.

I buy of ebay and have sold on most saddles if they don't fit. I have always made money by choosing good pictures (absolutly essential), well described and ending at a sensible time. You do get shafted with ebay charges though, so take that into account (usually £30-£40)
