right, history, i bought current horse 1 year ago, prior to me hed only had 1 owner since 9 months old (just turned 13) anyway, decided to sell him, have a guy that wants him subject to vetting.

last night old owner comes down to see him, she decideds she wants to buy him back.. last night, she openley decided to tell me that he had had lami once before and had chipped a bone in hes knee (done by booting the door)

go back 8 weeks.. horse was lame, and on a couple of occasions stood in a way that suggested lami..... 3 vets examinations. only thing he could come up with was a bruised sole (had just had shoes back on.) 6 weeks in still lame, the type of lamness you may not spot if you didnt know the horse. and only on a tight circle.

to the guy that came to try him i had told him about the lamness.
to the pervious owner ive never mentioned it.

ANYWAY
cut to today. i rang the guy and told him abou tthe lami and chipped knee. on the fact id been so honest, he decided also after talking to my vet and hes vet hed still like the horse.

now in all honesty i do buy and sell a bit, i dont want a stinking rep for selling lame horses, i have also told the guy the chance of him getting arthuritus (sp) in the knee are very high.

to me the horse that was sold subject to vetting at 4.5k is imo now worth around 2k

previous owner is willing to pay what i paid for him a year ago (keep in mind she knows nothing of current lameness, which i now think was another lami attack.) he also had a new albion with him that i have now sold, so hes sold with out a saddle.

i feel like i was had by the previous owner, theres been a few other things ive learnt along the way that she didnt tell me in the start. i dont actully think hes the right horse for her (she sold orig as was to scared to ride him)

so question...... do i let the guy continue with vetting, ive been as honest as possible,. BUT im guessing he will offer a lower price. which i really dont want to lose money.

or do i tell the guy im sorry but i cant selling knowing hes possible issues and let previous owner have him back. on the basis shes going to give me org price and doesnt have a clue about recent lameness???

oh and no i didnt have a vetting mself when i bought him, id just lost a horse and didnt want a replacement, but had a large some of money given to me, even then i was shall we say... not to clever about the whole bying a horse thing

Do you think she is serious about buying him back? I would sell him back to her but would worry that she is messing you around. How soon can she buy him?
