Having real issues selling horse. We thought we had sold him and then people pulled out. It seems the people who can afford the price are numpties and can't ride and the people who can ride, don't have the money.

I would rather he went somewhere with someone who can ride because he is a young horse and can try you out and can suss out someone who can't ride.

He is advertised for £6.5k at the moment as a hunter but it seems I am the only person in the world who took on a youngster to hunt it because noone else wants to buy one!!

Do I drop the price to £5k or what?!!

We have had quite a few people come and see him but most of them haven't been able to ride very well and he is 5 rising 6 so does need a capable hand.

I will drop the price - just need him gone. He's such a smart horse that will jump any country out hunting, does the basic's with flatwork and is so trainable yet can be a tiny bit sharp with a numpty on board!!

So frustrating.

Must get him out cubbing so people can see him out as well I guess.

If it was me selling and I had the choice between a muppety rider and more money or less money and a better rider, home -then I'd go for the second option and take a bit less money to ensure the horse was going to the home I wanted!- don't know if thats of any use!....

I would drop the price. I used to work for some rich, numpty hunters and they were b****y awful to the point of cruelty sometimes

I think I'm going to have to drop price for sure. Have just sent lady a text who tried him out last night that I am willing to drop price for her because she is a good jockey and it would be a good home. I am just fed up now and want him gone and can't afford to have him on schooling livery anymore!!

Anyone want a very handsome, brilliant 5 year old hunter for £5K?!!

I find that if a Seller is very honest in their ad, and doesn't withhold important information when speaking to the Buyer on the phone before a viewing is organised, they are far more likely to get appropriate people coming to try the horse.

The bottom line is you reap what you sow.
