I have advertised Spider for sale and had interest but when people call I am USELESS on the phone... I just ramble on about crap and really don't do him justise. If someone calls with questions in their mind like 'has he done this?' or 'does he do this' then I can (generally) give honest answers fine but open questions like 'tell me about him' or 'whats his temperment like' and I go to pot!! Anyone got any advice or tips?! I just feel really stupid after a ealier phone call

Whwn I used to get asked `tell me about him' I just used to say what would you like to know. Its hard what to say to that as everyone wants to know different things so I do just reply with what do you want to know and go from there. I wouldnt want to bore them an waffle on.

i find the easiest way, is to ask them to tell you what they are looking for, this way they start the conversation, and you get to know without spending hours on the fone repeating yourself weather the horse will be suitable or not.

i've got the other problem, I dont know what to ask when i phone up. I going to start looking soon but i havn't a clue what to ask when i first ring up as my mind will go blank, all i will think off is err err

vam.. id say what i said above but worded as.. if i tell tou what im looking for could you tell me if your horse fits the bill.

Sounds like a good idea, thank you. Think im just going to write a check list or something and just work off that. At least then i know roughly what ive got to ask and make a note of any answers, geeky i know.
