selling horses

I had an initial flurry of enquiries for my Dressage horse that only went on here yesterday, but they were all alone the lines of "I am really interested and would like to see videos however I cant afford him would you drop the price??" - Err like the price is going down when he's only been on there an hour!!!

I think it just depends - the right person for the right horse always comes along when you least expect it! I sold a rising 3yr old gelding 2 weeks ago and have 2 people interested in my other one - except sods law the bugger would choose now to get a hoof abscess so he will have to wait for a month or so! - sigh!! It's weird for the last 4yrs running we've sold at least one youngster at this time of year - without even advertising, compared to the summer when I put a couple of adds about, to test the water, for the same horses and got nothing bar a couple of the usual loopies! - so you never know!!:D

I'm buying, and so's my friend! She called about a horse, it only appeared in the afternoon, by the time we got hold of the seller, it had gone already. It was a stunning looking horse that was advertised at a much lower price than I would have said it seemed worth, based on the ad.
I think it depends on what you're selling, and the price.
