Hi,
some of you may remember that I posted about a horse I bought about 6 weeks ago. My first horse after a 13 year gap.
It immediately felt wrong and I tried to return to the dealer during the 7 day 'money back' period. To cut a long and really upsetting story short they haven't taken the horse back. I've considered small claims but it's so difficult so I'm just getting on with things. I haven't posted about it in the interim as to be perfectly honest the whole thing has been a bit of a nightmare and I have found it a bit awful.
I have the horse at a lovely livery yard and am doing all I can to give it a good go, bearing in mind that I don't have unlimited budget. The horse isn't a problem horse, but isn't behaving with me as described and our relationship has got off to a really, really bad start.
I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet, but if I do decide to sell her on I don't want to do so myself and would want to place her with a reputable selling livery. I'd be looking for somewhere where they would exercise and school her, work with her to get her in to the best shape for selling. She's not a competition horse, but would be aimed at someone wanting a good quality first horse, or return to riding. RC/PC stuff.
I know there are people really against selling on this way, but if I do go down this route it's really the only option for me. Any suggestions? I'd need someone really straightforward to deal with, very experienced and ideally not horrifically expensive. Is that a pig I see flying?!
