Sorry know that's an old joke now.....
I have a lovely horse, he's great, quirky but fantastic....however he is such a knobber to hack with pals! I know the more he does it he should get better but he doesn't! I never feel un seated but he bounces and bunny hops and does little bucks all the way. I literally feel sick when I get back! He is ridden in a micklem with an NS snaffle and hates any pressure on his mouth at all, I caused him to have a paddy today as I flexed my hands on the reins as they were cold! He's that sensitive! I tried him in a Waterford to stop him grabbing the bit and head shaking but he was no better/worse in this. All teeth and full MOT have been sorted. He gets so worked up that when asked to trot he does a huge big valegro trot but doesn't really move anywhere! Cantering out with pals normally ends in tears so we avoid this!
Schooling he sulks and just goes dead or strops.. His head goes up and he is hollow!
Do I need to have an arguement with him? Do I need to change tack? Or do I just suck it up and then don't run the risk of upsetting mr uber sensitive?
p.s when we have had arguements before he just bucks and stresses.
please help!
