Hi,

Today I made the tough decission to sell one of my yearlings

Its only because I had to have my broodmare home and so now have to many horses. I only brought Frankie as a companion but planned to keep her till it was time to back her so Im feeling a bit glum about it all as shes lovely and ill miss her.

Has anyone been looking at babies as I have no idea of how much shes worth....

She is 16 months old, is 14.3hh ish, Han X tb, she is a posh mover, she ties up, stands for trimmer, has tried on various things like brushing boots, bandages, numnahs etc, she goes in the truck/trailer, is tractor, combine, car, dog, goat, gease, kid proof! Been to 2 parties and came 2nd (at a big show, in a class of 20+) and got best yearling. Shes walked over a few poles and I even had a little sit on her (not all of my weight!!) when she was snoozing on the floor, shes not fazed by anything, bless her and shes beautiful!!

How much would you advertise her for?? And are there any good free sights to put her on? If not ill pay for her to go in h&h or horsequest.

First of all she's very beautiful and sounds a real treat, there is a website that comes to mind Horse Hunter, its avaiable for anyone in the UK to have a gander at

Hmm I'm no expert I'm afraid, probably the best thing to do is have a butchers around on some horse selling websites and get an idea on how much they are going for, I've had a quick butchers myself on Horse Hunter for you to get a round about price, it varies really from £1000-£1850.
You've listed a good whack of good quality points that she has, so really the price is up to you.
It must be upsetting for you, but remember if you ask the sellers the right questions you'll find that she'll go to a good home and you can always keep in contact

I think def above 16hh, more likely 16.2hh ish, shes 15hh at the bottom now!!
Mum was 15.3hh and dad was nearer to 17hh

Ive put her on some of the free sites, ill leave her there for a few days then pay for there or H&H
