Sadly our lovely safe quiet first pony has been advertised for sale, as my girls have moved on, and as she has had laminitis she really needs to keep active. She has been great this summer giving my youngest fun doing mounted games. However when the first viewers came she was really sluggish and likewise with the second. The third viewers said they wanted her and would buy her after a vet check which just never happened. Then her right hind filled up and the vet thinks its a virus and I have to rest her. So we have her for over six years, fit as flea apart from the laminitis, and I advertise her, and now she is ill.......Maybe she doesn't want to leave. I have to say I am so disappointed with the last buyers as they left me totally hanging. She wasn't obviously ill when they came and they said she was exactly what they wanted......Obviously now I know there is a problem I won't be trying to sell her until she is well but why oh why do people muck other people about? Hours on the phone asking questions, 2.5 hour viewing, promise to buy, then silence.......

It must be very frustrating, but had she gone to them, maybe they would be trying to return her now if she was unwell so soon after purchase.

Anyway I hope your pony recovers soon and can move on to a good, loving home as soon as possible.

Have you thought about loaning her out (obviously when she is better) you will be able to ensure she has the correct loaner and above all the best health? Hope she gets well soon x

Yes probably a blessing in disguise and the loan idea had crossed my mind too. She doesn't owe us anything. Just so ironic that she should become ill just then!

Can you lease her through Pony Club? Really good first ponies are like gold dust. We used to have people queuing up for our ponies once we'd outgrown them and it was brilliant seeing them teaching other families over the years.

No one seems to be at that stage at the moment they all seem to have ponies already. I will readvertise her once the vet is happy. I have to say that the vet did say he might know of a suitable home, so you never know.....
