Selling rugs, is ebay still the best place

Following on from Niagra Duvals post, is ebay still the best place to sell rugs? Ive got about a dozen to sell that dont fit my new horse, theyre all in reasonable nick, no rips, tears, got all the right straps and buckles. Ive got them on Preloved cos hubby says ebay will take a fair percentage of what we get, but Im getting fed up with people asking questions, wanting pics etc when Ive already listed everything! Do people still buy rugs from ebay and has anyone got any horror stories about selling them before I persuade him to help me list them all!

You get good and bad with eBay, some people are genuine and are buying things for their horse, some buy to sell for a profit and some even buy with no intention of paying.

If you didn't want to go down the eBay route, you could always try selling them at a local tack sale or a 2nd hand horse shop :)
 
I've sold a few on eBay, all ok no problems but the postage and the fees are a killer. I have also sold through the Facebook groups 'Rug Up' and 'Rugs, Rugs Rugs' and that worked well. I also sold a couple through the Horse Gossip forum. If good quality they seem to sell very easily

I have some more to sell but am keeping those till September when prices and demand are best
 
I sold 6 of my rugs on facebook. Put pics on with descriptions and they were all snapped up within an hour.
Much easier than ebay cos you dont have to worry about posting them
