Selling saddle through internet

Hi, never sold anything over net before. Have people interested in saddle but they are a long way from me so would have to post. How do we arrange the money side so its safe.
Not through Ebay. Sorry to be thick !

ask for a cheque first and make sure its cleared before you send the saddle off..

Ask them to send the money electronically so you have an electronic audit trail. Once the funds are in your account, wait 24 hours. After this, the funds can not be recalled.

TBH it would put me off buying something over the internet without using paypal, paypals really safe |(although expensive) but your protected. Had too many bad experiences with sending money then not receiving the goods.

tried to look at paypal earlier but site was unavailable. Will try again. Assume this keeps the cash safe until saddle received?
