I have never sold a saddle- just collect them but i really dont think i will need this saddle so thought i might put an ad up in tackshop or on ebay but no idea how much to charge. Cost approx 1k and is in grea condition, not been used for about 1 year and it is a jump saddle, not sure what model, does any1 have any idea how much you would charge??

ps - not advertising as probs would not sell to hho member; would rather it was local person who coudl try it!

Depends on the model saddle, look on your girth guard it is printed there - there will be a name followed by some letters eg MFS, VSS, and the condition. Probably about £500 if it is in good condition. have a look on ebay and see what similar ones are fetching.

I sold my Stubben siegfried a couple of weeks ago on Ebay and got an excellent price for it, im sure if you advertise using decent pics and a good description you should get the price you are looking for.

Well I had the opposite experience when I tried to sell my Siegfried! I put it on ebay expecting it to be snapped up because it was such a lovely saddle and in such good condition and didn't get a single bidder. It went in the local admag for months on end and I never had a single enquiry. In the end a friend bought it off me for £250 which was a absolute bargain as it was about £950 new. A friend of mine who is a saddler said they aren't easy to shift second hand and thats certainly what I found.
