Well after a lot of soul searching I have put my welsh sec d up for sale. I know in my heart of hearts its the right thing to do but can't help feeling guilty when I look at him...
Selling a horse is always hard if you've built up a bond with them, even if you know it's the right thing to do or have no choice in the matter. (Hugs) Well done for making such a difficult decision.
I know how you feel! I have just pulled out of a sale as i could not part with the horse! It is silly i guess but just cant bear to part with her at the moment!
Thanks everyone for your kind words.
Darcy: The good bits...Good looking 15.2 dark bay. 13 years old. Competes in unaffiliated dressage - always placed. Has competed show jumping and x country but not recently he has the talent I don't! Hacks in company always sensible in traffic or open spaces. Loads and travels on his own or with company.
The bad bits...Is a sensitive soul. Needs a leader not a bully on board. Can be tense at a show so needs plenty of time to settle. Tractors, lorries, vans, dogs etc no problem but that hose pipe or flower will definitley bite him! Doesn't do anything silly just looks, snorts and gives it a wide birth! Good in the stable and loves his food so is a good doer. Upto date with the usual vaccs etc. Needs to be sedated to clip. Thats my boy! I've owned him for 3 years and just hope I can find the right home for him. I have another horse that is coming back into work after KS op who really needs my time. It's a tough decision.
