Hi all! I have a 5 year old ex racer and I was wondering if I could get some advice on her..

My girl, Peach retired from racing and was restarted in walk trot and canter before sold to me.
She came to me in August 2023 and I gave her some time off to be a baby, then she got an injury and had more time off. By the time she was fully rehabbed and ready to be ridden frequently, I fell pregnant and didn’t ride for 10 months 😅
Now I’ve had the baby and I really want to get back in the saddle.
If this was your horse, would you send her away for schooling? I’m worried about getting injured now that I have to stay alive for my little one 😂

I think given your circumstances I’d do the same! Assuming you can afford it I think it’s a very good idea!

Yes or at least a freelancer to come and bring back into work. Your riding muscles won't be working quite as they were before to deal with any back to work antics and you have a small person to care for too x
Thank you. You’re right my muscles are definitely not what they used to be! Xx

It’s tempting to just jump back on her😂
I don’t have a school at the farm (I’m a nutter and prefer to do schooling whilst out on hacks as I get bored lol) so I doubt I can get anyone to come😕
I got on my horse 5 weeks after having a C-section🤣 that was stupid , i was absolutely fine though 🤣

Follow up question sorry guys I’m clueless-
I want to send away my little Welshie to be backed too. Neither of them have a proper saddle. Would you buy them both a new saddle before sending away, or borrow one from a friend?
